This Santiago Calatrava-designed glass-decked footbridge spans the Sacramento River and is as much an international work of art as it is a architectural icon! A short walk from the Sheraton Hotel brings you to your private tour with specially trained docents. You won’t believe the story of how this rural town ended up with this $23 million masterpiece! 20 people minimum. May be cancelled if minimum not reached.

The Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay crosses the Sacramento River in the heart of Redding, California. Since 2004, the bridge links the north and south campuses of Turtle Bay Exploration  Park and serves as the downtown entrance for Redding's extensive Sacramento River Trail system. This exciting tour will provide in-depth information about the construction of the bridge, how it works, and stories from many of the people  involved  in the project, including the inspiration of the designer, Santiago Calatrava.
